Midnight. Stranded in the dark forest, in the middle of enemy territory. Flashlight batteries running low. Still, you have to carry out your mission, or else the fate of this world will be grim... yes, the music that you hear all around you COULD loop seamlessly, but you have more important things to think of, as you are approaching the enemy camp...

Bookmarked and tagged for #gamedev. Still, please reconsider looping :]

Filip-Miljkovic responds:

Hehe, I like the story! I am always glad when my soundtracks can create such vivid images :) Yes, it can most certainly loop - it was designed to loop. I just didn't want to upload 3-4 minutes of repetitive material (that would be kinda boring without a game backing it up xD).

Okay... Where I can find these and how many banks do I have to rob to pay for them? Because there is no good free SFX in the Internet and I'm getting desperate :|

These are by far the best SFX i found on NG. I wish there was more...

Oh yes. I can see the princess. Her matted hair, her eyes that lost color long ago. Sitting on thin layer of hay in the castle dungeon, with but a tiny hole in the thick wall to let some light into her cell. Chained to the floor, she weeps for her people. Now ruled by her younger sister, that is in fact controlled by evil cousin, they are forced to slave labor for the alien beings that helped in the rebellion. There is no hope left for this land... or is there? Maybe the ancient portal in the middle of the forest no one dares to enter holds a secret that will change the fate of this world once again...

Huh? I'm sorry, I think spaced out a little too much. I guess that is enough to prove that this piece does not require critique. At least not from me.

Please, give us more compositions in this mood. I beg you D:

Bosa responds:

Certainly, sire.

This would be a perfect background for a "a ghost goth girl walking around a haunted house" themed platformer... and it loops... well, almost. Would you care to fix that? Anyway, this goes straight to my "for future gamedev" music list ;)

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I could probably cut it to make it a loop, but it may not be perfect, as Acid-Paradox and I didn't exchange project files while working on this, I simply sent him the MP3, and he sent me back an MP3 with his stuff on top.

PM me if you're set on using this as a loop, and I'll see what I can do.

Mmmm... Crispy!

I like the heavy feel, and the fact it's not "overweight" at the same time. The kicks might be a tiny little itsy bitsy too loud in the middle compared to melody. Assuming the intended theme was "robots", you fit just right! Also, I'm totally saving this for future game development ;)

Aistis responds:

I'll look into the drum part. Thanks for reviewing :)

[Beep. This loop positively passed the 15 minute monotonicity test. Proceeding to plea mode.]

Ooooh, can I use this in a game? Pretty pretty please :D
If you want I can send you a link to the start screen, as it is still a work in progress.
I'm pleasantly surprised that I found music this fitting in, I believe, the third search result? :D

As for the review part - as in every loop, the longer and more varied it is, the better. But in this case, the outcome is really nice, and although the wrap of the loop is really simple, it is still smooth and hardly noticeable. Good job!

Insanctuary responds:

If you haven't done it already -- go ahead, my good sir.

I missed this review, I'm not sure how.

Take some Crazy Bass concepts, add fresh melody, give it a medium-slow tempo, make it a little glitchy, sprinkle it with a pinch of dubstep to taste. Mix, pour into mp3, bake for half an hour. Upload to NG while hot :D

I'm starting to like your cuisine! Keep it up, I want you to bloat my player with good music :D

keosni391 responds:

I like you too brother :) thanks man! ;D

Yes, I admit, I dream to music. And I usually come up with weird concepts while at it. For example:
Pirates. On a wooden frigate. Finished with loads of blueish steel, as the frigate is now IN SPACE. Surrounded by a forcefield to keep the atmosphere. The pirates are now dancing to the sounds of a weird electric-accordion-something-instrume nt and a mechanical parrot on the captain's robotic arm squawks to the rhythm. Where are they going? Probably to pillage another space station in this sector of galaxy...

Err, I was supposed not to "post stupid nonsense" but there is little to criticize here. So I'll get back to enjoying this on my mp3 and maybe someday recreate that mental image in Blender... maybe...

Actually I've realized that I haven't gone through your submissions yet... well, time to make it up ^^

Indigorain responds:

Haha, I love nonsense! :D
And this is a time to say 'cool story bro' without the sarcastic tone! :D
But really, thanks a lot for the kind words and for checking out my music! I really appreciate it! :D:D

A puny "Respect." is not enough to describe this

You've officially beaten a record. After hearing this out for the 5th time I have a complete trailer in my head, for a game based on fantasy world.

You are on my "greatest artists of epic music" list, along with Hamstercake.

Kudos, and bring forth more E P I C music, you're good at it!

Epicization complete. Well, almost.

Have you ever considered making this longer than 0:33?
I'm just listening to the original and I really want you to make this longer, with epic choir and a little heavier :D
I would totally move my lazy ass and do something where I could use it if you did.

Aspiring game developer with mind full of brilliant ideas, but currently lacking talent to do them justice.
